Girls Inc. Recruiting 7th Grade Girls
The Friendly PEERsuasion program is for girls in the 7th grade and focuses on learning good communication skills, stress management, how to resist peer and media pressure, and substance awareness. The program trains the 7th grade girls to be a positive influence and model healthy behavior for other girls in Elementary School. The Friendly PEERsuasion program has a total of 9 sessions. They meet once a week for about 1 1/2 hours and held on Tuesday's from 3:30pm-5:00pm beginning on Tuesday, December 8th. You still have time to apply on-line https://tinyurl.com/girlsinc7th . Yoga & Meditation
Students, the District is offering you an opportunity to participate in Yoga & Meditation. To support the social, emotional, and overall well being of the Salinas Union High School District families, we are offering customized, live stream yoga and meditation sessions over the course of the Fall 2020 semester. Yoga and Meditation will be offered every Wednesday at 3:00 pm beginning November 18th. If you are interested please fill out the google form along with the waiver. The waiver must be completed by the parent, signed, and returned to the school site. Paper copies will also be available at your school site. En apoyo del bienestar social, emocional y general de las familias del Distrito de Escuelas Secundarias de Salinas Union, estaremos ofreciendo sesiones personalizadas de yoga y meditación en vivo durante el transcurso del semestre de otoño del 2020. Se ofrecerá yoga y meditación todos los miércoles a las 3:00 pm comenzando el 18 de noviembre. Si está interesado, complete el formulario de Google junto con la exención. Monterey County Behavioral Health is creating a series of opportunities for anyone in our community to come together to build our strength and resilience. Mission Trails ROP hosts Ground Breaking Ceremony for new CTE & Public Health Laboratory building
For the second week in a row, the Salinas Union High School District broke ground on a new construction project. This one will serve hundreds of students in the District’s ROP program.

Mount Toro High School welcomed a large crowd of guests to the ground breaking ceremony for its new Multi-Purpose/Child Development Center on Oct. 16.
