Beginning in 2014, the Stanford History Education Group sought to measure Civic Online Reasoning - the ability to effectively search for, evaluate and verify social and political information online.

 

Last year, Everett Alvarez High School participated in a pilot study with SHEG to determine best practices in the classroom to help students evaluate online information.

 

The national study resulted in the formation of a new collection of free digital resources that educators can use to help teach civic online reasoning.
